Mr.Dilip Cherian, Perfect Relations

Mr. Dilip Cherian is the Co-Founder and Consulting Partner of Perfect Relations, South Asia’s largest image management firm.

A pioneer of the concept of image management in India, Dilip is India’s foremost communications & public affairs consultant, a political advisor and a practicing lobbyist of repute. Widely regarded as the “Image Guru of India”, he started Perfect Relations in the early 90’s. This company, now a group has grown into the country's largest image management solutions’ providers with 16 offices in India and across South Asia. 

Dilip started his career in Government, where he was Economic Consultant to the Ministry of Industry, (B.I.C.P.), and went on to become the editor of Business India - India's leading business magazine. He was the co-founder & business editor of The Observer of Business & Politics, one of India’s big business dailies. 

Dilip is a member of the Board of Governors in Advertising Standard Council of India .He has just consented to serve on the Governing Council of the National Institute of Design. The Ministry of Company Affairs has also asked Dilip to spend time on the Apex Committee of Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). 

Known for his incisive comments on the social, political & economic developments in the country, he authors three widely read columns in The Asian Age and Mid Day on macro-economic issues, bureaucracy & polity.  

His contribution to corporate social responsibility initiatives ranging from reproductive health issues via his membership of the Population Alliance, to the scheme of providing computers for education in various parts of India through his association with the NGO – Digital Partners, is well known.  Dilip serves as a Board member of Charkha, an NGO committed to using communications tools to help external success stories of development Initiatives.

Dilip is an acclaimed speaker on National and International platforms. Internationally he has presented at Panel Discussion at the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Conference in Cairo; Asia Pacific Workshop of Academic Parliamentarians on Education, Population & Sustainable Development in Krabi, Bangkok, Inter-Pacific Bar Association(IPBA) Women Business Lawyers conference in Hong Kong, ESL workshop in Krakow, Poland, to name only a few.
