Mr. Vinnie Mehta

Vinnie, an Electrical Engineer from IT-BHU, an MBA in Marketing from University of Delhi and a Masters in International Trade from the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), is an expert on policies and procedures for the IT Industry in India. Vinnie is a reputed facilitator between the Government of India and the local IT Industry. His inputs are actively sought on diverse issues by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Information Technology and the Planning Commission, Government of India.

Vinnie has contributed significantly to India's National Information Infrastructure (NII) program. He has also worked extensively with State Governments of Andhra Pradesh. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh in settling their IT Policies.

He has worked on a number of assignments with international agencies e.g. the Institute of Information Industries, Taiwan for promoting contact manufacturing; the Trade Development Board, Singapore for implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in India. He is also frequently consulted by Consulting agencies, foreign firms and Multinationals entering India e.g. Arthur D'Arthur Anderson, KPMG, J L Blodgett and Associates Inc-Utah, CETRA-Taiwan, Lucky Goldstar Group-Korea etc. In discharge of his duties he has traveled extensively to China, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Being IT Industry expert, Vinnie Mehta takes lectures on industry strategy with reputed management institutes in New Delhi. He also conducts training programs and seminars for the IT industry, the investors and the IT users. His views are also sought and respected by the media.

Prior to MAIT, Vinnie has worked for 2 years on the SCADA system (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) with the Gas Authority of India Limited, a Public Sector of international repute.
